With the merger of Wheeling National Heritage Area and its sister organization Reinvent Wheeling came the challenge of merging an already iconic logo with the new community design styles pioneer by Reinvent Wheeling. The goal was to produce a logo that new organization could grow with while preserving the heritage and legacy it has become known for.
For the new logo, we wanted to maintain a style consistent with the National Park Service. The uses of a badge/patch design that Mimics the general shape of the NPS arrowhead logo. The bridge and background color were incorporated in such a way that the Community Would be able to recollect and recognize the logo design from the previous brand.
